Beneath the streets of London festers a secret city. It is Vermintown: a miniature metropolis made of soda cans, cereal boxes and juice cartons, where the folkloric little people of legend huddle for shelter from the modern world. Goblins, brownies, pixies, fey and boggarts: a dozen races of proud cultures and rich magics… slowly corrupted by the urban sprawl. Shriven of their forests and traditions, they spiral into crime, racial prejudice and sorcerous addiction. In the melting pot of arcane pressures and gangland murders a family of flawed and dispossessed immigrants fights to maintain their bonds, their identities and thier lives, as grand and hateful conspiracies bubble in the shadows around them.
